Budget / interim management daily rates
As a rule of thumb, it is now recognized that the daily rate for an interim manager is around 1-2 percent of the annual target salary, depending on the complexity, scope of the task and income level of the vacant position.
Taking into account the additional expenses as a self-employed person and the periods of no income between two mandates, this results in a level for interim managers that corresponds to a comparable permanent position. There may also be travel and accommodation costs depending on the effort involved.
Depending on the type and objective of the interim management, it is not always necessary for the interim manager to be on site at your company every day. You do not have to pay him for days when the interim manager is not working for you, for whatever reason.
Employer contributions, insurance, IT infrastructure, mobile phones, company cars, etc., which are incurred by a permanent employee, are not required by an interim manager. The total costs are therefore roughly comparable to a permanent position. In addition, however, interim managers are usually overqualified for the respective task and thus bring additional benefits to your company.
